When you first start a new workout routine, you picture yourself a few months down the line looking great. But after a while, you might feel like all of that hard work isn’t making any difference. People often give up on their workout regime because they’re just not seeing results, even though they think that they’re doing everything right. Consistency is Key
You might think that you’re sticking to your routine but if you’re honest with yourself, is that really true? Doing a workout here and there isn’t going to cut it, you need to keep the same workout schedule every week if you’re going to see results. Lack of motivation is usually the reason for this, but there are things you can do. Keep your goals in mind at all times and remind yourself why you’re doing this in the first place. It’ll help you to stay focused on the end goal and make it easier to get up and workout. Once you start sticking to the same routine every week without missing workouts, you’ll find that you start to make progress.
Exercise is great, but your diet is just as important. You can work out every single day but if you’re going home and eating unhealthy food afterward, there’s no point. Maintaining a healthy diet at the same time as exercising is the only way to see results. It’s also important that you’re giving your body everything it needs before your workout as well. Sometimes, that’s true but often it’s the worst thing you can do. If you’re already working out 3 or 4 times a week, increasing your workout is going to make things worse. By overtraining, you’ll just end up breaking your muscles down and not giving them a chance to repair themselves. If you’re constantly feeling tired or you’re getting a lot of headaches, that’s a sign that you’re working out too regularly. Always make sure you’re taking at least 3 days rest in a week and don’t work out more than 2 days in a row. If you cut back a bit, you’ll start seeing better results.
