I’m pretty sure everyone struggled with acne or pores at some point in their lives, right? If you haven’t, then I’m jealous! I remember in 6th grade, my classmates and I were sitting together at lunch. This kid Marcos, loudly said in front of everyone: “Demi, you have blackheads on your nose!” I was horrified.
How is this happening to me right now?
Everyone was like, “omg, what are blackheads? Is that acne? Has she got her period yet?”
Middle school is probably my most dramatic time period. Most of my memories from middle school were not good at all. I didn’t get along with most of my classmates, to be honest. Later that day when my mom picked me up from school, I cried to her about my blackheads. We then went to our local Walmart and picked up some Bioré pore strips!

I remember this being incredibly painful, lol. Tears were running down my face when I was trying to peel off the pore strips. Beauty is pain, beauty is pain, I kept telling myself. After seeing all the nasty stuff that was stuck on the pore strips, I felt relieved. It was worth it.
Bioré recently came out with a new line featuring Witch Hazel!
Bioré Witch Hazel Pore Strips and Bioré Witch Hazel Toner
I was so ecstatic to be trying the pore strips again! Usually, for my blackheads, I go to an esthetician and get my blackheads manually extracted. Let’s be real though, monthly facials can quickly add up. Being a college student, I have to be smart with my finance.
So what are the benefits of Witch Hazel?
To be honest, before hearing about these products, I didn’t know what exactly are the benefits of Witch Hazel! After some intense research (well, just one search on google), here are some benefits that I pulled from Women’s Health Mag:
- tone skin
- fight grease
- treat acne
- prevent razor bumps
- relieve sunburn
- soothe bug bites
- calm poison ivy
- tighten pores
- calm redness
- diminish dandruff
All the Things You Can Do While “Stripping”
Honestly, I had a little mini photo shoot while I was waiting for the strips to set. First, wash your face! Then, thoroughly wet your nose since the strip won’t stick to dry nose. Let the strip sit for roughly 10-15 minutes until it’s hard.
Then comes the hard part! Peeling off the pore strips! Unfortunately, my camera died during this part, so I couldn’t get a clip of it. Afterward, apply the toner to your face!
Viola! Beautiful clean skin!
Head over to your local Walmart and pick up these products: Bioré Witch Hazel Pore Strips and Bioré Witch Hazel Toner.
P.S. I’m going to New York in a few weeks for spring break, so I will for sure be bringing theseBioré Witch Hazel Pore Strips with me! I can’t wait for DG to try it. I’m pretty sure he’ll be amazed by his pores, haha.
