Lydia and I decided that we wanted to plan a spontaneous couples’ trip up north in Arizona. We originally planned on going to Sedona for the weekend, but somehow ended up booking an Airbnb in Flagstaff instead. Oops. Obviously, we were having a little too much fun when planning our trip.
Here’s what we did in 24 hours in Flagstaff.
Quick Getaway in Flagstaff, Arizona
Luckily, Flagstaff and Sedona aren’t too far from each other. We drove up to Sedona Sunday morning and had brunch at Coffee Pot. Afterward, we explored Sedona for a bit and drove up to Flagstaff on Oak Creek. The drive on Oak Creek is so beautiful – I highly recommend taking that route when you’re driving from Sedona to Flagstaff.
Lydia and Pat brought their dogs Skully (the brown one) and Chico (the white one), so when we made a stop to look at the scenery, Chico was so happy! I’ve never seen him so happy in the few months of knowing him. Skully, on the other hand, is always happy, haha. She’s adorable. Both of the dogs are adorable.
Our Airbnb in Flagstaff was an A-Frame cabin and it was so cute and cozy. I wish I took more photos of the interior, but as always, when I’m out with friends, the last thing that’s on my mind is to take photos.
When we checked into our Airbnb, we explored Downtown Flagstaff for a bit. It was freezing cold and I did not pack the correct attire for this trip. We had dinner at an Asian-infused restaurant in Downtown Flagstaff – I can’t remember the name, but the food was okay.
We then ended the night by playing board games. Lydia and I both fell asleep pretty early while the boys were up all night talking – at least I think that’s what happened. Who knows, I was asleep!
The next morning, Pat made breakfast, and Lydia and I drove to get coffee. After breakfast and a cup of coffee, we headed back home to Phoenix. It was a quick spontaneous 24 hours in Flagstaff, but so much fun. I love my friends and I don’t know where I would be without them!
Here’s to more adventures with friends!
