Today, I am starting fresh. By fresh, I mean fresh content. Fresh content as in this blog post is written and published within 48 hours.
I have a tendency for thinking of topics to write, then never getting to it, or starting a blog post and never finishing it.
This happens quite frequently. I’ll sit down, draft a blog post, stop mid-way, and telling myself that I’ll finish it tomorrow. After a few days, I’ll try to finish all my thoughts but end up feeling different.
It’s been a struggle and it shows how often I’ve been blogging.
A lot has happened in the past few months that I never shared on my blog.
I started a new job – I’ve been working at a marketing agency, and it has truly been amazing. Besides my new job, a lot has happened in my personal life that I don’t feel like I’m ready to share yet. I know I’ll have to address it someday, which is quite odd to me because I have never felt like I needed to share anything in the past, but I do feel some type of obligation.
It’s been a bit hard, to say the least. I miss the days when I would just randomly write things on my blog and not feel so pressured. Since working in marketing, it makes me want to use social media less. On top of that, the more I grow my blog and the more people that read it, and to be frank, it’s a bit scary because I’m putting myself out there and I’m not sure who’s on the receiving end.
I tell myself that if there ever comes a day where I have to delete my social media, then I would do it without a problem. It’s weird because while I’m very active on social media, I didn’t depend on it so much (financially) then it wouldn’t be an issue.
Just like with all things, there are pros and cons and one of the wonderful pros of social media is being able to stay in touch with others.
Anyway, I digress.
Today, I am starting fresh. I am committing myself time each week to write – to write things I want to write about. Share my thoughts and share what I want to share.
