It’s almost the end of March and I’m just now beginning to write my February recap post haha. For those who don’t know, I’m trying to start a new series on what I learned each month. Basically just my takeaways. While it’s difficult to remember or even try to elaborate what I learned, I want to try my best. Check out last month’s recap here!
Highlights

What I Already Have
If you’ve been keeping up with my blog, you would know that I recently participated in a pageant. (If you haven’t read the post, check it out here!) Towards the end of the blog post, I mentioned a quote from Oprah. Here it is again if you missed it: Be thankful for what you have; you’ll end up having more. If you concentrate on what you don’t have, you will never, ever have enough. This quote hit me hard because I was so caught up in trying to win the pageant and being so upset that I didn’t place top 6. Truthfully, it is okay. The next morning, I woke up filled with joy knowing that the people I love and care about were there to watch me.
Sometimes you just have to take a step back and stop focusing on things you don’t have. Start appreciating for what you do have. I’m so thankful for my family, my boyfriend, and my friends.
Vulnerable
I hate being vulnerable. I mean, who doesn’t? One thing I learned that it is okay to be vulnerable. Of course, to the right people. By “right people,” I mean those you trust. I’ve called my best friend so many times crying because sometimes life sucks. I hate telling people how I truly feel because it might make me seem “weak” and truth be told, we’re not all perfect. From now on, I’m not gonna lie to those who are closest to me. In conversations, I noticed that sometimes I will tell little white lies, don’t know why! I heard it’s a psycho/manipulative trait, HAHAHA. Definitely, need to change that habit!
I’m so thankful for my closest friends who’ve been through so much for me. If you know me in real life, you would know that sometimes (probably all the time) that I can be a little bit too much to handle. So glad that no one has left me YET!
