Hey, feeling good, like I should
Went and took a walk around the neighborhood
Feeling blessed, never stressed
Got that sunshine on my Sunday best
I’m currently obsessing over Sunday Best – I have had it on repeat for the past week now, haha. It has been quite a week since our Sedona trip. New things are happening around here and I can’t wait to share them with you all. In the meantime, I’d like to share some of my favorite people in Arizona that help me feel beautiful! Call me high-maintenance but I love doing all the fun beauty things, such as getting facials, manicures, etc. It makes me happy and I feel like I have my life together. I wanted to put together a little blog post to show my appreciation for some people that make me feel beautiful in my life!
My Favorite Beauty People in Arizona
Hairstylist
Last week, I got my hair done with Lily from Etch Salon. I’ve been going to Lily for over a year now, which is surprising because I usually jump from hairstylist to hairstylist. I’m glad that I’ve found someone I really like. Typically, I’ll find someone I like but after a while, the work isn’t consistent or I feel rushed. I have a lot of hair on my head, so thank you to Lily for never making me feel like she’s rushing.
Estheticians
I have been showered with so much love by my favorite estheticians. If you’re looking for someone that’s close to the Arizona State University campus in Tempe, I highly recommend Shana from Phases Skincare – she’s also on ClassPass too! If you’re in the Gilbert area, I highlight recommend Lydia from Dew Skinbar. Shana and Lydia are both extremely knowledgeable.
I love skincare and have been super diligent about wearing sunscreen every day. It wasn’t until three years ago when I was dating someone who was very thorough in his skincare that I realized how important it was to be proactive instead of reactive. About a year and a half ago, I got botox for the first time on my forehead. I actually won 10 units of Botox in a giveaway and used it all on my forehead. After getting it, I realized that maybe now isn’t the time for Botox yet. While it was great, I think it was a bit too early.
For now, I will stick to my favorite cleansers, serums, hyaluronic acids, and retinoids. I love my estheticians because I can ask them anything and they’ll lay out all the information for me.
Nail Technician
As many of you may know, I went to a beauty school for nails and aesthetics. I worked as a nail technician at an upscale nail salon in Scottsdale, but because of the coronavirus, I decided to take a step back from doing nails. While I do miss my clients and coworkers wholeheartedly, it puts me at ease not working at the salon. Tyler wasn’t comfortable with me seeing and touching so many people, and I’d feel guilty if his parents caught it because of me.
I typically do my own nails since I’m extremely picky about them being perfect, but Sasha reached out to me on Instagram and I decided why not! Sasha specializes in Russian manicures, and to be honest, she’s the only nail technician I know that does Russian manicures in Arizona. Besides Russian manicures, I love hard gel and that’s another thing Sasha specializes in.
Sasha did my nails last week and I’m totally in love with them! I love the color she picked out for me – I told her that I’m pretty simple (and kind of boring). She did a neutral pink with light sparkles. At first, I was a little hesitant with the sparkles but after seeing how light it was, I love it! She totally read my mind.
Makeup Artist
I love makeup – I love looking at makeup, and I love having makeup, but I don’t know how to use makeup! It’s a constant struggle if you ask me. I recently met Nataliya about a month ago and I’m in love with her skills! She’s so talented and makes you feel like Victoria’s Secret model. I had her come over to my apartment to show me a few tips and tricks for using my makeup.
Nataliya has a business shower for her beauty salon next week – super excited! I’ll be attending and definitely can’t wait to show you all. She’s been sharing some sneak peeks through her Instagram stories.
Other Additional People
Here are some additional people that contribute to my face besides my parents, of course, haha.
Eyelash Extensions
I’ve been going to Ashley for over 4 years now for my lashes. I will most likely never go to anyone else for my eyelash extensions.
Microblading
I got my eyebrows microbladed by Sonya from Babette Beautee around the end of 2019. I know some people go back around 6 weeks for a touch-up, but I never heard back from her in regard to my touch-up appointment. Nonetheless, my eyebrows are still looking good!
Lip Fillers
I’ve gotten lip fillers several times now by Skyler Soares. It’s been over a year since my last appointment and I’ve been dying to go get my lips done again, but Tyler loves my lips the way they currently are. He doesn’t want me to get obsessed and go overboard. However, I always reassure him that Skyler’s style is natural. I think he’s just stubborn – I’m quietly waiting until the day we’re married to get my lips done again so Tyler can’t get up and leave me! Hehe.
This concludes my little blog post dedicated to my favorite beauty people in Arizona.
I love every single one of these people. If you’re looking for a hairstylist, makeup artist, esthetician, nail technician, and/or other beauty services people, I hope you find this useful!
