Whether it’s somewhere new or a staycation, it’s never a dull moment when there’s a girls’ trip. One of the things I’ve been trying to prioritize in life is spending time with my girlfriends. Sometimes when I think about the future, it makes me sad that one day we may all be married and possibly have kids, which means we’ll have limited time for each other. This makes me want to hang out with my girlfriends as much as I can.
Weekend Staycation in Scottsdale
Han and I decided to do a weekend staycation at Hilton Scottsdale Resort & Villas. We were excited about doing a staycation fairly close to Old Town Scottsdale since we were planning on going to the clubs on Saturday night, but we ended up in a different direction, ha.
Hilton Scottsdale Resort & Villas
Hilton Scottsdale Resort is located on Lincoln and Scottsdale, north of Old Town Scottsdale. The hotel offers three restaurants (Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse, BlueFire Grille, and Oasis Bar & Grille), Starbucks, and a pool!
There is also a free three-mile shuttle service (ends at 11:00 pm) that you can utilize to explore the area. You can explore Old Town, Scottsdale Fashion Square, and many other local places. This is perfect if you’re looking for a staycation in Arizona and don’t want to spend money on ridesharing services!
We checked in on Friday after work. The process was extremely easy, and they offer texting services, so you can directly contact the front desk through your phone! No need to call the receptionist when you can shoot them a text. The first night, I accidentally spilled something on the carpet, so it was great to have this feature that let me alert housekeeping.
Breakfast at BlueFire Grille
The next morning, we grabbed breakfast at the BlueFire Grille. BlueFire Grille serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner from 6:00 am until 10:00 pm, but breakfast ends at 10:30 am. Breakfast was set up buffet style, so I ate a lot of sausages and bacon.
Oasis Pool Bar at Hilton Scottsdale
After breakfast, we spent the whole day at the pool with a book in our hands. There’s pool service so you’re able to order food and drinks from the Oasis Pool Bar, which was nice and convenient. Han and I ordered a frozen strawberry and mango daiquiri. We also had a green tea shot, also known as Jameson Green Tea. It’s a popular whiskey-based cocktail with peach schnapps.
After a few hours outside, we went back to our room to take a nap before resuming our staycation activities.
For dinner, we decided to go down to one of our favorite Korean restaurants in Mesa. Of course, there are many options around the area that you could utilize the free 3-mile shuttle service that Hilton Scottsdale Resort offers. It happened to be what we were craving that night, so we visited Mesa instead.
The next morning, check-out was at 11:00 am. Because of the texting service, we were able to check out seamlessly! We texted the front desk to let them know we were on our way out and they were able to email us our staycation receipt.
Labor Day Weekend Staycation
With Labor Day weekend right around the corner, if you don’t have any plans, then consider doing a staycation! Invite your family or your girlfriends and do a staycation in Arizona at Hilton Scottsdale Resort.
