Hello! It is your girl, back again with more lip fillers. The weirdest thing ever happened (okay, maybe I’m exaggerating quite a bit but.. lol) I was having brunch with one of my friends and we were talking about lip fillers. If you haven’t been following my blog for a while, I got lip fillers back in December. Almost a year! I was telling my friend on how I was debating whether or not to get lip fillers again. Currently, I’ve been trying to save up for something else which I will announce much later sometime this year. Be sure to subscribe to my newsletter so you’ll be notified! I love Juvederm Volbella!
Lip Fillers
Also, by the way, ever since my first lip fillers, I’ve gotten a mix of nasty to super nice comments. Some comments ranged from “Oh, I’m lucky I don’t need lip fillers since I already have perfect lips” to “OMG! I love your lips! I want to get mine done”. So beware if you’re going to get your lips done. I even had a 12-year-old girl tell me that people at her school ‘called her out for having fake lips’. Umm. Okay, I really do not need to know that and what exactly are you implying? I don’t know why some people feel the need to tell me that they love their lips… Especially when I didn’t ask them if they did or didn’t lol.
Later that night, I got a DM from Skyler saying that she misses me and to come back for more lippies. Okay, this was definitely a sign. I wish you all saw how excited I was. I was screaming and jumping up and down and immediately Facetimed one of my friends. Also, I booked a photographer for the day of my appointment because what kind of blogger would I be without taking photos, right? Unfortunately the day of my appointment, the photographer had to cancel on me so I called my little brother and he said yes in a heartbeat. Love my family, haha.
I went to the one and only Skyler at Affiliated Dermatology.
The last time I wrote about them, they had five locations in the Phoenix area, but I believe they now have SEVEN: Anthem, Gilbert, Scottsdale, Surprise, and Deer Valley, AND new ones: Ahwatukee, and Tempe. This is so convenient if you live anywhere in Phoenix. They also offer other services besides injections, like microneedling, chemical peels, CoolScultping, to name a few.
Juvederm Volbella
First, we start off with some numbing cream as always and left it on for around 20 minutes. Then poke, in goes the syringe for those snatched lips. If you’ve read my first lip injections, I got Juvederm Ultra XC the first time. This time, we decided to go for the Juvederm Volbella. Also, when I came in for my appointment, Skyler had informed me that I still have quite a bit of filler left over since the first time, 9 months ago. So if you’re interested in how long it lasts, it varies but I still had some left if that helps?
In comparison to the Juvederm Ultra XC and the Volbella one, we pretty much used the same amount each time: 0.7cc. You can definitely tell the difference the first time I got lip injections, but with Volbella, it is much more subtle. Another thing, the Juvederm Volbella is a lot softer than the Juvederm Ultra XC. When I got my lip injections done the first time, I can feel the fillers in my lips when I rub them together, while with the Volbella one, I can’t really feel it at all. The Juvederm Volbella is supposed to last much longer as well.
I wish I had gotten more before and after photos like my first blog post, but I think I just woke up in such a stressful mood that day since my photographer had canceled on me last minute, and it was pouring rain outside. If you examine closely, you can see the subtle difference between the before and after.
Nonetheless, I hope you all enjoy these photos. If you have any questions or comment, feel free to leave them down below.
