I haven’t posted much these past couple of weeks and that’s because things have been slightly hectic. Since Election Day, work has been crazy. I work at a consulting firm and 5 states had passed a law that our firm specializes in.
Besides work, it was also Thanksgiving week and if you are subscribed to my newsletter, you would know that my family had Thanksgiving with Tyler’s family. It was so much fun! I know it’s already December, but I still want to do a post about it eventually. Fingers crossed I’ll have some time this week.
Here are some life updates:
Our Crazy Neighbor Moved Out
I feel kind of mean, but our neighbors on our right-side were kind of crazy! We weren’t the only people on the floor that felt uncomfortable around them. They were constantly fighting in the middle of the night – actual physical fighting. Security was called (not by us) several times and it was quite scary, to be honest. I won’t go into much detail about it, but they were evicted.
My NEW Website
You may have noticed that I’ve been slowly changing and tweaking some things around my blog. I’m so excited to show you my new website. I did a rough mockup of what I wanted my blog to look like on Photoshop. Mina of Underline Designs was able to bring my vision to life! She’s incredibly talented and super quick – I highly recommend her for all your design needs.
Also, don’t you love my new re-branding? A more in-depth story of that later!
We Have a Realtor
As some of you may know, Tyler and I are looking for a new home – preferably a townhouse. Finding a realtor can be a bit difficult, especially when some of your friends are realtors. It was a hard decision, but I’m glad that we finally found one! I’ll be sharing about it once we start getting more serious with our search towards the beginning of next year.
Feeling Rejected
No one likes the feeling of being rejected, but it’s part of life. I was working on a long-term partnership with a brand earlier this year and they completely ghosted me. There was no notice, no explanation – nothing. I reached out to them and never heard back. This definitely bummed me out for a few days, but maybe it’s a blessing in disguise!
I still can’t believe I was ghosted professionally, haha.
Holiday Cards
I don’t know about you, but I’ve always loved receiving holiday cards. My family doesn’t send out holiday cards, neither does Tyler’s family, but I’m excited to start this tradition! I printed two different holiday cards – one for friends and family, and the other one for business contacts.
If you’re interested in receiving a card from us, email me your address!
That’s all the updates I have for now. I’m so excited about where things are headed for the new year. Here’s to many more exciting opportunities! I’m grateful for my life and that I get to spend it with Tyler.
