For me, I was never really much of a hair person. I used to rarely brush my hair daily; it was always so messy. For some reason, I loved that messy hair tousled look. Common Chemicals To Avoid in Hair Products

Prose Hair Process

The process of getting your hair products customized was so easy. They first ask you for your name and email. You answer questions such as your age, hair type, hair concerns, daily lifestyle, diet, etc. Then, you are able to choose the fragrance and color of your hair products. The really cool thing about this process is that you can input your zip code area and they calculate out the weather of where you live! Talk about total customization.

After answering the survey regarding your hair, you then get to set the preferences! For fragrance, I chose their signature smell which entails: violet leaf, peony, and blue iris. You can also choose gluten-free, vegan, etc.

Must-Have Natural Hair Care Products

The Prose Hair comes in a box with instructions and pumps! At first, when I opened the box, I was so confused on how we would use the products. The box came with a mask, shampoo, and conditioner.

Mask

With Prose, this is not your traditional deep-conditioner! Their hair mask is a pre-shampoo rather than a deep conditioning mask. You want to use the mask as the very first step. You use the mask weekly and quarter size. With wet hair, you apply it to the scalp and leave in for 15 minutes.

Shampoo

With the shampoo, you would wash and shampoo your hair how you regularly would. Recommended usage is twice a week and they also included how much pumps you should be using per wash, which is so helpful in my opinion!

Conditioner

Following the shampoo, use conditioner. I like to use conditioner mainly at the ends of my hair since it’s so conditioning and moisturizing, I don’t want it to weigh down my hair!

Natural Hair Care Routine

Besides having Prose Hair for your hair care regimen, I have switched over to some other items to ensure that my hair and scalp is healthier. In my hair care routine, I switched over from using any regular hairbrush to a wide tooth comb. This keeps your hair from breaking because your hair is most vulnerable to breakage when it is wet. On top of that, I try to limit washing my hair from every other day to once or twice a week. Gross, I know but it’s so much healthier for your hair. Plus, I don’t have a significant other to sniff my hair, so I don’t really care. As long as I’m washing every part of my body besides my hair, who cares!
