Ha, about four months ago during Memorial Day Weekend, I went to San Francisco, California! Just a preface, this is most likely going to be a journal-blog-post-ish. This serves no purpose to anyone unless you’re genuinely interested in what I did during my trip to the bay.
My Spontaneous Trip to San Francisco
Anyways, I haven’t been to SF since I was 8 years old. If I’m being completely honest, I don’t really remember much. I think I was mostly in Oakland and San Jose during that trip. My friend, Maggie, asked me to go to San Francisco with her. At first, I really had no desire to travel there. After a while, I decided to go because, well, why not? I was planning on working at the nail salon during that three day weekend, but I guess taking a trip (and spending $$$) seems a bit more fun.
Quick Recap of My Trip to California
The first night we landed, we went to karaoke with a couple of people. Fun. I got to sing 3005 by Childish Gambino, I Want it That Way by Backstreet Boys and Let Me Love You by Mario. Ahh, my favorite songs, haha.
The next morning, I woke up pretty early. I took a stroll around the neighborhood and found a coffee shop to eat breakfast. Then we drove to Monterey, California! Also, how does a 2.5-hour drive turn into an almost 6-hour drive? Yeah, I’m not sure either. Just add in lots of traffic, bathroom breaks, and that will take up 3.5 hours.
Anyways, it was pretty fun! I’m not sure what else to write so consider this just a photo-journal blog post with photos of San Francisco. Enjoy!
My first morning in San Francisco. Took a morning walk around the neighborhood to see what was in the area.
At some beach in Monterey with Ryan’s dog, Odie!
At a strawberry farm on the drive back from Monterey to San Francisco.
Exploring Chinatown, San Francisco.
Our flight back to Arizona was the last flight to depart at the terminal. More than half of the seat was empty, so Maggie and I had a whole row to ourselves! It was pretty nice.
Anyways, that concludes our San Francisco trip. Don’t forget to read my other travel blog posts. Where should I travel next?
