Summer 2017 was probably the most productive summer EVER. This summer I decided to work full-time at a nail salon and took on two internships. On top of that, I had the opportunity to work as a content curator for a jewelry company. I’m extremely grateful for everything and everyone, and every opportunity I had this summer.
May
This was the start of my summer. With Mother’s Day and Memorial Day weekend, I was driving back and forth between Tucson and Phoenix visiting my family. This month was a roller coaster. I started one of my internships and I also had to say good bye to someone who was special to me.
June
This month, I began working 5-6 days a week at the nail salon and my second internship started. In addition, I went on a California trip with my family and was able to shoot with some local photographers in LA. I also had a couple of interviews for social media positions but I didn’t get any of them. Nonetheless, I was still grateful that they would even consider me and given me the opportunity to interview for me. This month, I had the chance to work with 18 photographers. The amount of content I had planned out and schedule for on my social media platform was overwhelming but definitely worth it!
July
In July, I was working nonstop. If I wasn’t at work, I was at a meeting or a shoot. I also signed my first apartment lease and I didn’t think I’d ever become this independent in my life. Growing up, I relied on my mom HEAVILY. I started working and saving up in order to pay for rent, gas, food, and school, which I’m proud to say that I’m ALMOST financially independent. In July, I also started working for a jewelry company and I am seriously obsessed with them. They have THE cutest jewelry pieces ever and I kid you not, I wear their pieces on the daily.
I’m happy to be where I am with my social media, but I still have a lot of room for improvement. I’m hoping to take my blog even further than where it is right now, as well as my YouTube and Instagram accounts. I know this probably doesn’t seem like a lot to some people, but it was definitely the most I’ve taken on.
