As you may remember, I moved out of my apartment last week. In honor of officially moving in with Tyler, The Home Depot and I have partnered up to help redesign our kitchen! I know the majority of my followers are college students or recent graduates, so I’m sure you’re looking for a new place this upcoming back-to-school season. Consider this your dorm room essentials!
I’m so excited to be partnering with The Home Depot to show you some ways to redesign your new place.
My Coffee Cart with The Home Depot
You all know I’m a huge coffee drinker. I need at least a cup of coffee in the morning when I wake up. Eventually, I want to build out a coffee cart – think of a bar cart but without alcohol, coffee instead! Coffee is a necessity for going back to school. I’m not sure how I would have gotten through my undergrad without coffee. This is what you’ll need for going back to school!
Thank you to The Home Depot for helping me make my coffee cart a dream come true.
Espresso Machine
Espressos are the key to making real coffee. We’re not talking about brewing coffee, adding creamer, and sprinkling some sugar. No. We’re talking about making americano, lattes, mocha, etc. Whatever your heart desires! I got the LavoHome 4-Cup 3.5 Bar Black Espresso Coffee Maker Machine.
Should you add an espresso machine to your dorm? The answer is yes.
I’ll need to figure out how to use an espresso machine. The last time I tried was at my dentist’s office – they have an espresso machine in the waiting room! Needless to say, it didn’t go so well and I haven’t tried since then. I can’t wait to learn how to use this. Be on the lookout for a tutorial or something once I figure it out. The first thing I’ll be making is an iced mocha – it’s my go-to coffee drink. Although, Dalgona coffee has been my new obsession recently.
This espresso machine utilizes 800-Watts of power to brew up to 20 ounces of espresso! That’s about 4 cups. I can make iced mocha for myself and Tyler. Additionally, it has a removable drip tray and nozzle – this is perfect for cleaning. We all know that I can be a bit lazy when it comes to cleaning, oops. Lastly, I just love the look of the machine. It’s very sleek and the colors are very minimal. It fits right in with our home style.
Electric Milk Frother
I didn’t know what frothing milk was until recently when a barista at the local coffee shop started teaching me more about coffee. Who knew that frothing milk makes such a huge difference in drinks? The Home Depot gave me the Ovente White Stainless Steel Electric Milk Frother.
This electric frother is a 3-in-1 – it has warming, heating, and frothing. On top of that, it has a see-through lid! I love being able to see-through things through. If you ask Tyler, he’ll tell you that I leave the oven lights on when I’m baking but always forget to turn them off when I’m done, oops.
Handheld Milk Frother
I know what you’re probably thinking – Demi, you have an electric milk frother, you need a handheld one too? The answer is yes. My coffee cart is not complete without a handheld milk frother. The Ozeri Handheld Milk Frother comes with 2 milk frothing whisks, 1 egg beater & 1 cocktail mixer. It does more than frothing milk. Think of all the endless possibilities!
It’s handheld, which means it’s portable. You can use it for smaller portions! Let’s face it – we don’t need to whip out the 5-quart KitchenAid mixer every single time we need to mix something! Sometimes, it’s just two or three eggs that need to be whisked. This is where the handheld milk frother comes in handy! All the attachments make this the perfect essential in a kitchen.
Thank you The Home Depot!
Special shoutout to The Home Depot for sponsoring this blog post and making my coffee cart a dream come true! I’m so excited – just wait, I’m going to be a coffee connoisseur in a few months. I’ll start a new series on my blog called “Coffee Dates with Demi” where I try out different espresso beans in my espresso machine, along with different milk to see how they froth differently with the electric versus the handheld one! Haha, I’m kidding… Half-kidding.
Let me know how you’re decorating your dorms! If you’re a recent graduate, let me know how you’re adjusting to post-grad life! Will you be decorating your new place?
