I am officially moving out of my apartment and moving in with Tyler! It’s been bittersweet, to be honest. For the past three years, living by myself has been great, and it’s kind of nerve-racking to be living with Tyler. I have no place to hide now, haha, just kidding. Tyler gave me his spare key in January and since then, my apartment has been a place for friends and family to stay at when they visit Phoenix. It’s nice for them to have their own private space instead of couch surfing or spending money on a hotel, haha.
I personally believe that everyone should live alone at some point in their life. Living alone for the first time was a bit scary, but I ended up loving it! There are so many benefits to living alone.
Benefits to Living by Yourself
- Make your own house rules
- Go and leave whenever you want
- No need to compromise with anyone
- Leave your stuff anywhere and everywhere
- Your own personal space
- Pay for what you want and eat
- Decorate however you want
- Social gatherings
Renting Out My Apartment to Friends and Family
I rarely ever go to my apartment since staying with Tyler. I check my apartment once every two weeks for mail and to grab items I need. My apartment became vacant and at some point, I did think about subleasing it. After thinking about it, I decided it was too much of a hassle to sublease it. I rather keep my apartment for friends and family who are visiting out of town. It’s nice because I want them to feel like they have their own privacy and they can do whatever they want!
My friend Mai-Ly (also my former pageant coach, mentor, big sister, etc) stayed at my apartment for the last two months and it’s been so nice having her around. She helped pack the majority of my stuff and I’m so grateful! I honestly am the worse packer in the world – I just throw things everywhere, haha.
Besides packing up everything into the boxes, I also get stressed out about having to move things, especially big items, such as bed, couch, desk, etc. Luckily, Callbox Storage is a full-service storage company. Packing, moving, storage – they do it all! You don’t have to lift a single finger.
Super Easy and Simple Process – Perfect for a Stress-Free Move
- Schedule a free pick-up with Callbox Storage – there’s no labor charge!
- If you don’t want to pack, they can pack for you.
- After determining all of your storage needs, they create an online photo inventory of all your items!
- Callbox Storage will relocate your items to a secure and climate-controlled storage facility.
- When you want your items back, you can simply schedule a delivery.
They have locations in Dallas, Fort Worth, Houston, Austin, Phoenix, and Seattle.
Additionally, every 30 days, you can receive a complimentary delivery or pickup of up to 5 regular sized items! Callbox Storage is great for decluttering (ugh, I have this issue – I just want to keep everything), downsizing your home, combining households, renovation projects, seasonal storage, or even transitioning from selling a home. There are so many uses for Callbox Storage!
Things to note: Make sure you read their FAQ’s prior to the pick-up!
It’s so crazy how convenient technology has made our life. I love that everything is online and digital through Callbox Storage. Instead of driving to the storage unit, you can look through the inventory on your phone! After watching YOU on Netflix, I now refuse to step into a dark, long, scary hallway. I can get murdered and thrown into my unit and no one will ever find me! Another thing I love about Callbox Storage is that the team was super fast – they were in and out in less than 45 minutes!
Callbox Storage has monthly pricing based on your unit size, insurance coverage, and materials borrowed from Callbox Storage.
